PM: Salome Zourabichvili will have to leave office on December 29. Let's see where she continues her life - behind bars or outside
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze dismissed potential plans from opposition figures, including President Salome Zourabichvili, at a Sunday press conference. “President Zourabichvili will have to leave office on December 29. Let’s see where she continues her life – behind bars or outside,” he stated.
The Prime Minister added, “I believe she has enough sense to avoid violating the Criminal Code.”
Kobakhidze emphasized that with less than a week remaining in her term, “the President can not do anything.”
“Some European politicians and officials indeed say that a lot can happen before December 29, but I assure you that nothing much will happen. Neither the ‘Deep State’ nor the radical opposition will prevail in Georgia,” the PM added.
