PM: Restoration of Abkhazian Railway possible only in case of country's unification

During addressing the Parliament, Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili emphasized that there are no secret negotiations regarding the Abkhazian railway restoration. He firmly stated that the only scenario for railway restoration is through the country’s unification.

Addressing the question about Georgia’s vision for Abkhazia, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s strategic patience and pragmatic approach towards achieving national unity. He emphasized that every goal and step taken by the government brings them closer to the common national goal of unification.

Garibashvili stressed the importance of making national unity the primary focus. He expressed the belief that the country’s unification would bring opportunities and positive changes for Abkhazians, Ossetians, and the entire nation.

“All efforts should be directed towards unification, as it would transform the entire country and create a paradise-like environment with billions of dollars of investments,” he said.
