Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said he held a “friendly and interesting” conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the eighth summit of the European Political Community (EPC).

According to Kobakhidze, the discussion took place in a closed format, so he could not disclose specific details. He noted that the initiative for the conversation came from Zelenskyy and said the talks focused mainly on bilateral relations between Georgia and Ukraine.

“I cannot discuss the specifics of the content, as it was a closed-door meeting. However, I can share that the conversation was friendly and engaging. The President himself initiated the meeting, and we promptly confirmed our willingness to engage in dialogue regarding bilateral relations. This was the primary focus of our discussion. I want to emphasize that our conversation was both interesting and conducted in a very friendly manner.

Overall, Ukraine is a friendly country to us. Our nations and peoples share a long-standing historical friendship, which we should actively preserve. This was the spirit in which I spoke with the President. While I cannot reveal the details, I once again want to highlight that the atmosphere was indeed friendly,” Kobakhidze stated.
