PM presents new Chairman of Adjara Government to local authorities

Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, alongside President Mikheil Kavelashvili, introduced Sulkhan Tamazashvili as the new Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara to local authorities.

During the meeting, the Head of Government highlighted the significant projects that have been implemented in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara over recent years and emphasized the importance of their ongoing development.

Irakli Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to Tornike Rizhvadze for his contributions and wished the new Chairman every success in his new role.

“Today, we welcomed the approval of the new Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. I extend my congratulations to Sulkhan Tamazashvili on this important and responsible position. He is an outstanding professional with an exceptional experience, primarily within law enforcement agencies. Such experience is invaluable in management roles and contributes significantly to effective governance. We are confident that he will excel as Chairman of the Government,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.

The meeting also featured addresses from the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, the former Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, the newly appointed Chairman, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara, Davit Gabaidze.

Attendees included members of the Parliament of Georgia, the Government and the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, as well as mayors from various municipalities in Adjara.
