PM: Politicians who orchestrated violence while hiding in offices cannot escape responsibility

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated today at a press conference that the politicians who organized violence during these days but hid themselves in offices will not be able to escape responsibility.

As the government leader noted, wealthy NGO leaders who participated in supporting violent activities were also hiding in offices during these days.

“We have information that a number of activities were likely financed, including the purchase of special equipment, by wealthy NGOs. The wealthy NGO leaders hidden in offices will not escape legal responsibility in the presence of appropriate evidence. Opposition leaders and their NGO leaders were hiding in offices during these days, but the responsibility is responsibility, and of course, this responsibility must certainly be established per the constitution and the law,” the Prime Minister declared.

According to him, politicians and NGOs sacrificed dozens of people for bodily harm and criminal punishment.

“These are members of a violent group who face several years of criminal punishment, which is the corresponding responsibility of certain politicians and political figures. During these days, these people have dared to do absolutely everything unacceptable, including reaching out to children as well. You saw what was happening during these days. Directly involved in this campaign were both radical politicians and their media outlets, Salome Zourabichvili, one of the representatives of the radical opposition. What we saw regarding children throughout these days is immoral,” the Prime Minister stated.
