PM pledges gov't to take all necessary measures to safeguard Georgians' interests

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze pledged on Wednesday that the government would take “all necessary measures to safeguard the interests of its citizens.”

Asked about the imprisonment of Georgian citizens by Russian occupation forces, the PM said: “When it comes to our fellow citizens, of course, everything will spare no effort to protect their interests and rights.”

According to the State Security Service of Georgia, Georgian citizens have been detained in the occupied territory near the village of Akhalgori and the village of Otobaia.
