PM participates in 29th UN Climate Change Conference in Baku

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze participates in the 29th UN Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The leaders participating in the conference are hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Prime Minister of Georgia attended the opening session of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit and the High-Level Meeting of Heads of State and Government.

In keeping with tradition, the leaders of the summit’s participant states took a joint picture.

Under the conference, Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver speeches at the COP29 Leaders’ Summit and panel discussions to be held in a round-table format on a variety of topics.

The PM is participating in COP29 in the company of a delegation comprising First Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
