PM, Parliament Speaker arrive at Caucasus Medical Centre

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili arrived at the Caucasus Medical Centre, where Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II is placed.

The PM and Speaker are accompanied by the Defence Minister and representatives of legislative and executive authorities.

The medical council continues to set future steps for medication. Heads of leading medical institutions are reviewing the necessity to invite foreign specialists.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, was admitted to the Caucasus Medical Centre last night following a sudden deterioration in his health state due to a massive gastrointestinal haemorrhage. The patient is on artificial ventilation and is currently placed in the critical medical department.
