PM: Our vision is to strengthen Georgia’s regional position significantly in four years
“We must enhance our country’s strategic mission and functions. In light of the new reality created in the region following the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war, we have the opportunity to fundamentally strengthen our connectivity and transit capabilities,” Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze told the media.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this objective aligns with the announced infrastructure projects.
“We have a systematic approach and know precisely what must be done each year to bolster our nation’s position. This includes improvements to road infrastructure, the Tbilisi International Airport, the expansion of the Kutaisi International Airport, the modernization of our railway system, and the development of Anaklia Port. We have a very clear vision in all these areas, which will ensure that our country will have a completely different and significantly stronger position in the region in four years compared to today. Therefore, special attention will be devoted to these projects’ implementation,” the Prime Minister stated.
