PM: Opposition focuses on election delegitimization linked to anticipated defeat
As of today, our data indicates that we will hold a constitutional majority in parliament. The opposition’s sole focus is attempting to delegitimize the elections, the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, told reporters in Marneuli today.
He linked the opposition’s campaigns against the Central Election Commission (CEC) to it.
“It’s evident what the opposition is preparing for. They are well aware of facing a significant defeat in the elections. As of today, our data indicates that we will hold a constitutional majority in parliament. Given this scenario, the opposition’s sole focus from start to finish is attempting to delegitimize the elections. Naturally, this involves campaigns against the Central Election Commission (CEC). However, these efforts are weak, leaving the opposition with no chance of success,” remarked Kobakhidze.
