PM to be obliged to deliver annual report, ministers to arrive in parliament at ‘Minister’s Hour’
Changes will be carried out in General Regulations of the Georgian parliament based on which principles of legislative activities of the parliament will be perfected and supervisory function – reinforced.
According to the information of First Channel, the project is already prepared and the final details are being finalized.
Based on the proposed changes, Prime Minister will be obliged to deliver an annual report during the plenary sitting of fall session while Ministers will have to arrive in the parliament in the format of ‘Minister’s Hour.’ Political debates will be held after presentation of the annual report by PM.
Prime Minister will deliver the first annual report in September of 2019, ‘Minister’s Hour’ will become activated starting January 1, 2019.
