PM: Moscow Mechanism report author concealed conflict of interest tied to her connection with Polish government

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze criticized the OSCE report prepared under the Moscow Mechanism, calling it politically motivated and lacking objectivity.

Speaking at a briefing at the government administration, Kobakhidze said the report was compiled to serve “vicious, narrow political interests” that led to the creation of the so-called Moscow Mechanism against Georgia. He also noted that the Polish author of the report concealed a conflict of interest tied to her direct connection with the Polish government.

“Therefore, it is not surprising that the report fails to meet even the minimum standards of objectivity and, accordingly, does not provide an accurate analysis of the events taking place in Georgia. The author notes that, due to the lack of time, the document lacks depth. This is probably the only general conclusion of the report that we can fully agree with. Unfortunately, the author did not even verify whether our country is officially called the ‘Republic of Georgia’ or simply ‘Georgia,’” the Prime Minister said.
