Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met Public Defender of Georgia Levan Ioseliani.

The meeting at the Government Administration focused on the human rights situation in Georgia.

The conversation touched on the progress achieved in terms of protecting human rights. It was noted that, over the past ten years, the situation in this regard has improved and changed drastically.

Two documents of Georgia’s National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights-one covering the years 2014-2020, and the other spanning the years 2022-2030-were underlined.

Prospects of future cooperation were also discussed at the meeting.
