Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, met the newly-appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia, Walid Abu Hayah, the Government Administration reported.

During the introductory meeting, the Head of Government of Georgia congratulated the Ambassador on beginning his diplomatic mission and wished him every success.

The meeting highlighted the centuries-long friendship and close partnership between Georgia and Israel. The parties discussed opportunities for further deepening relations across various fields, including strengthening trade and economic ties and the importance of cooperation in the field of tourism.

Attention was also given to the situation in the Middle East. The Prime Minister of Georgia focused on the importance of ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.
