PM meets Japan’s new Ambassador

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Ishizuka Hideki, Japan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Georgia.

At the introductory meeting, the Head of Government congratulated the Japanese Ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The conversation focused on the cooperation between the two countries across a variety of directions. The economic ties between Georgia and Japan, and prospects of deepening them even further, were discussed.

Georgia’s favorable business environment was also emphasized, and the active work toward attracting foreign direct investments in the country was underlined.

Attention at the meeting was paid to prospects of deeper cooperation toward attracting investments, encouraging export, and developing small and medium-sized businesses.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Ishizuka Hideki for Japan’s strong support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by Iwatare Otaro, Third Secretary of the Japanese Embassy.
