Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Archil Dzuliashvili, newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Libya, and Iraq, the Government Administration reported.

At the meeting, the relations between Jordan and Georgia were discussed. The conversation touched on the importance of constructing a center of Georgian culture in Jordan. It was not that the design for the construction of a center of Georgian culture by the Jordan River was approved at the Governmental Commission’s meeting in December 2023.

The Head of Government congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a new position and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Previously, Archil Dzuliashvili held the position of Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of India, which also covered Bangladesh, Thailand, Nepal, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka. He also has served as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

At different times, he held the position of Special Assignment Ambassador, also having served as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt, which also covered Tunisia, Libya, and Syria. He has served as Georgia’s Representative to the League of Arab States and the African Union, also having held the position of Senior Adviser to Georgia’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and the UAE. He has also worked as Deputy Director of the Department of Eastern Affairs at the Foreign Ministry of Georgia and later as Deputy Director of the Global Relations Department, also having served as Consul at Georgia’s Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, having worked as First Secretary of the Authority for the Countries of the Near East and Africa at the Department of the Countries of Asia, Africa, Australia, and Oceania, followed by the position of Deputy Director of the same department. He has also served as Attaché and First Secretary of the Authority for the Countries of Africa and the Near East at the Department of the Countries of Asia, Africa, Australia, and Oceania. In 2015, he was awarded the highest diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
