PM meets Deputy FM of Italy

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, met Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, the Government Administration reported.

The meeting focused on the friendly relations between Georgia and Italy, which are founded on shared European interests and values.

The parties welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral cooperation across various fields and reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen both political and trade-economic ties.

The discussion also focused on Georgia’s European integration process and the importance of Italy’s continued support on this path. The Prime Minister noted that the Government of Georgia stands ready to restore relations with the European Union based on mutual respect and to engage in constructive dialogue.

The meeting was attended by Maka Botchorishvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration of Georgia.

The PM has commented on his meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister in a post on the social media platform X. According to him, the meeting focused on bilateral relations and opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries.
