Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met the Chairman and Honorary President of Sanko Holding, Zeki Konukoglu, Head of the Energy Department of the Union of Turkish Exchanges and Chambers of Commerce.
The head of government spoke about the favourable business environment in the country. According to the PM, the creation of a special economic zone in Georgia, taking into account the strategic location of the country and the existing favourable business environment, makes Georgia an economic hub.
Irakli Garibashvili said that the government is working to turn Georgia into a multi-functional regional hub. It was said at the meeting that Georgia occupies a leading position in the rankings of a number of influential international analytical organizations, and as a result of the correct policy of the Georgian government, the economy began to recover rapidly in the post-pandemic period.
The head of government noted that Georgia has signed free trade agreements with the European Union and China, as well as with countries in the region, which allows Georgia free access to many major markets.
Sanko Holding is the largest Turkish company operating in 11 different sectors, including textiles, construction materials and renewable energy.
