Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met representatives of APM Terminals, a port operating company headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands.
The parties discussed the potential of the Poti Port and the increased interest in the direction of the Middle Corridor. They remarked that the development of modern infrastructure in the Poti Port is of particular importance in light of the growing cargo flow.
Representatives of APM Terminals expressed their willingness to invest more and modernize the existing infrastructure. The conversation also touched on the possible expansion of the Poti Port in the future.
The meeting held at the Governmental Administration was attended by APM Terminals Regional Director for Europe and Asia Igor Van der Essen and APM Terminals Poti General Director Julien Fernandez. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili participated in the meeting from the Georgian side.
