PM Kobakhidze: Unstable outsider was imposed as president for nine years; this proves agents shouldn’t run the country
“For nine years, an individual in such an unsound state was foisted upon us from abroad as president, and his recent statements serve as yet another reminder of this; such an unsound person was imposed on us from outside as President of Georgia,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to the head of government, the public knows full well that foreign agents must under no circumstances govern the country.
“This is certainly not a stable state of mind. Day by day, this man makes it clearer that an unstable individual has been holding the reins of power in this country for nine whole years. I want to remind everyone that such an unstable man was imposed on us from the outside as Georgia’s president and leader; a fact our society must once again reflect upon. In truth, the public needs no help concluding how this country should be governed. They know full well that under no circumstances should a network of foreign agents rule our nation. For nine years, an outsider with such an unstable mindset was foisted upon us as president, and his recent remarks serve as yet another stark reminder of that fact,” said the Prime Minister.
For context, former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stated: “I have come to realise the profound meaning of The Odyssey—Penelope represents the reins of power in Georgia, her suitors are the ‘opposition figures’, and I am far better suited to Penelope; Odysseus’s return is worth it, even if it costs my life.”
