PM Kobakhidze: Sokhumi State University secures accreditation for Agricultural Degree programmes

“Agricultural degree programmes at Sokhumi State University have successfully secured accreditation, meaning the relevant courses will now be delivered at Sokhumi State University,” the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced during today’s cabinet meeting.

As the Head of Government noted, tourism programmes have also been introduced at Zugdidi and Akhaltsikhe Universities as part of the higher education reform.

“Agricultural degree programmes at Sokhumi State University have secured accreditation. Consequently, these courses will be delivered right at Sokhumi State University. Our goal is to ensure the continuous refinement of these programmes at the university. Furthermore, tourism programmes have been added to Zugdidi and Akhaltsikhe universities as part of this reform, representing another significant milestone. I want to express my gratitude to the Minister of Education for the successful implementation of the education reform. It is a complex, intricate process, yet we have executed it with great success to date and continue to take the necessary steps forward,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
