PM Kobakhidze: Public should note attendance of authoritarian leaders at Biden's dinner

“Several dozen authoritarian leaders attended Biden’s handshake and dinner, and the public deserves to know this to draw their own conclusions,” PM Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters regarding the attendance of a recent dinner hosted by President Biden.

According to Kobakhidze, the United States is an influential state, and foolishness does not enhance its reputation.

“The cancellation of the invitation and the planned handshake strikes me as rather immature. The public needs to recognize that several dozen authoritarian leaders were present at Biden’s event. Over 150 state leaders were invited, approximately half of whom are authoritarian regimes, both formally and constitutionally.
Authoritarian countries were invited and then you are rescinded, let the society draw conclusions.

After Biden’s dinner was cancelled, Davit Zalkalian and I went out for a traditional Georgian meal,” the Prime Minister stated.
