PM Kobakhidze proposes fresh start for US-Georgia Strategic Partnership
“We are offering the American side a concrete roadmap to restart strategic partnership between Georgia and the US from a clean slate. If there is analogous interest from America, relationships will certainly be rebooted,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Zestaphoni.
Kobakhidze said the Georgian side awaits the position of the U.S. President’s administration.
“We cannot discuss internal matters. From our perspective, the key point is our complete readiness to reset Georgian-American relations. Furthermore, we propose that the American side rekindle our strategic partnership with a specific roadmap that starts from a clean slate. If there is a similar interest from the United States, then, of course, relationships will be rebooted. We are awaiting the position of the president’s administration,” Kobakhidze stated.
