PM Kobakhidze: Georgian society embraces historic election's significance, chooses peace

“This was a pivotal, decisive election, equivalent to a referendum, where the choice between war and peace was at stake. The Georgian society has properly understood this message,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his appearance on the GPB First Channel’s program Actual Topic with Maka Tsintsadze.

According to Kobakhidze, the public has supported Georgia’s long-term stable and peaceful development.

“We can reiterate that this was a fundamental, decisive election, equivalent to a referendum, where the choice between war and peace was truly at stake. The Georgian society adequately comprehended this message, reflected in the unprecedented high voter turnout. This extraordinary level of engagement clearly demonstrated that the public fully grasped these elections’ exceptional and crucial significance. They supported our course, the governing team – Georgian Dream and ultimately backed our country’s path toward long-term stability and peaceful development. For this, we must once again express our profound gratitude to the Georgian society,” Kobakhidze declared.
