PM Kobakhidze: Georgia as island of peace in complex region attracts investments
“Our country is a kind of island of peace in a challenging region; this is one of the factors that make Georgia attractive for investments,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia.
According to Kobakhidze, the ruling team will do everything possible to enhance the effectiveness of the economic policy.
“You know the general economic data; we have a very high economic growth rate. Over the last three years, we achieved an average growth rate of 9.7%. This year, if we examine the data from the first two quarters, the economic growth is 9% – the highest rate in the region and Europe.
Moreover, our country is indeed an island of peace in a turbulent region. We maintain peace and stability, and, of course, this is a primary factor that makes our country appealing to investors.
Additionally, as you know, we have a liberal economic policy and a favourable tax regime, which prompts a favourable environment for investments to enter the country. We will do everything possible to increase investment flows in Georgia, and we are committed to making our economic policy even more effective,” concluded Irakli Kobakhidze.
