PM Kobakhidze expresses hope for substantial progress in ongoing border delimitation talks with Azerbaijan and Armenia
“We are in constant talks with our friends, both Azerbaijani and Armenian, on the delimitation and demarcation of our borders. We hope to make substantial progress in this area; active work is continuing,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at today’s press conference.
The Prime Minister was asked about a letter published by former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili regarding David Gareji. He replied that everyone is doing everything possible to resolve such important issues.
“Apparently he resolved it, and I missed something. Of course, everyone is working to resolve these important issues. We are in constant talks on the delimitation and demarcation of our borders with our friends – both Azerbaijan and Armenia. This is one of the most important issues. Both sides, Azerbaijan and Georgia as well as Armenia and Georgia, agree that this process must be pursued. We hope to make substantial progress in this area. Active work is continuing. Whatever he failed to resolve, we hope we will manage to,” Kobakhidze said.
