PM Kobakhidze: Evacuation is less urgent, but all villages must receive on-site assistance
“Evacuation is less urgent as an intervention measure, but we must reach every single village to assist the population on site. This is the plan we have outlined,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in the village of Shroma.
As the Head of Government noted, road clearing in the villages is necessary and active work is underway.
“In reality, the same work needs to be done in these villages as in the case of Shroma village – road clearing is necessary and work will proceed. There are cases where road clearing might not be possible in a single day, and both rescuers and representatives of the Defence Forces will enter the respective villages by alternative means to provide appropriate assistance to the population.
Evacuation is less urgent as an intervention measure, but regarding entering villages, we must reach every single village to assist the population on site. This is the plan we have outlined,” stated the Prime Minister.
