PM Kobakhidze: Conditions set by European bureaucrats threaten Georgia’s peace and stability

“We are prepared to take all necessary steps, except those that would compromise peace and stability in Georgia,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream party and Prime Minister of Georgia, in response to a question regarding measures the government intends to take to avoid issues such as the suspension of visa liberalisation, involvement in war, or government changes.

During a briefing at the ruling party’s headquarters, the Prime Minister responded that the Georgian Dream team “will do everything in its power to continue the country’s development in all directions. This is our duty to society, and we will act with this responsibility.”

“Regarding the conditions imposed by European bureaucrats towards the government of Georgia, nearly all of these demands are fundamentally linked to threatening Georgia’s peace and stability,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

“Society must critically assess what motivates European bureaucrats to push for actions that could undermine our peace and stability. It is evident that some European officials are directly supporting processes that incite hatred and radicalism within our country. Naturally, society is observing and evaluating these developments. The key is for our people to remain vigilant and cautious, scrutinising every action with the utmost attention. This is crucial. We will do everything possible to ensure the continued progress of our nation in every sphere. That is our duty to society, and we will act accordingly,” the Prime Minister reaffirmed.
