PM Kobakhidze attends closing ceremony of Studfest 2026

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, and the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, has attended the closing ceremony of Studfest 2026.

The Head of Government congratulated the young participants on the successful conclusion of the student festival.

“More than 20,000 students were involved in this year’s events. Studfest covered an exceptionally broad spectrum of activities this year. In the fun run alone, over 2,000 people took part. All of this speaks to an immense level of motivation and enthusiasm, for which I would like to extend my special thanks.

My congratulations to the winners! It is our duty to continue supporting such events in the future. We can promise you that Studfest will be held annually, and the line-up of events will grow even further,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

The Prime Minister thanked the festival’s organisers, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, the Youth Agency, the Mayor of Tbilisi and the City Hall, the Mayor of Rustavi, and municipal representatives.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze also congratulated the youths on the success of Studfest 2026. The Minister presented awards to the winners of the festival’s various competitions, with the overall Studfest 2026 trophy going to Georgian Technical University. The closing ceremony was attended by members of the Georgian Government, university rectors, and Studfest participants.
