PM Kobakhidze: 70% of Guria roads cleared; food, medicine, and electricity restoration in progress

“We discussed the current situation in Guria and the work that has been accomplished. Importantly, more than 70% of the roads connecting settlements have been cleared,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a press briefing after the coordination headquarters meeting in Guria.

As of Monday, the Prime Minister reported that 35,000 subscribers were without electricity, a number that has since decreased to 10,000. According to Kobakhidze, efforts to restore power are ongoing and intensive.

Additionally, as Kobakhidze noted, efforts to supply the population with food and essential medicines are actively underway, with emergency medical teams working continuously.

“Communication is being established with all settlements. There have been a few instances of limited communication since yesterday, and we will undoubtedly focus maximum attention on those areas. Restoring electricity is also one of our main priorities.

As of Monday, approximately 35,000 subscribers were without power, but this number has now decreased to about 10,000. Restoration work will progress intensively, as our goal is to ensure that the remaining 10,000 subscribers receive electricity as soon as possible. We addressed this in today’s meeting.

The provision of food and medicines will continue consistently. About 10,000 packages will arrive in Guria to meet the population’s needs. Emergency teams are responding to calls promptly and efficiently.
Headquarters are mobilized in every direction, and the key is to maintain this intensive work,” the Prime Minister concluded.
