Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia together with Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili and Shida Kartli Regional Governor Giorgi Khojevanishvili inspected ongoing construction works of a public school in Mejvriskhevi village, which is adjacent to the occupational line.
The school, which is envisaged for 150 pupils, will be ready to host school students from this autumn. About 2 million and 400 thousand GEL will be spent on construction from the state budget.
The Municipal Development Fund of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is carrying out construction works of five new schools and rehabilitation of five schools in Shida Kartli region.
Construction of 59 schools and rehabilitation of 100 schools is ongoing across Georgia. The total value of the project is 220 million GEL.
PM Gakharia also talked to locals of Mejvriskhevi village on the territory of the school.
