“We maintained peace, reinforced it with peaceful policy and lead our country to unification,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili ahead of the 2nd European Political Community Summit (EPC) in Moldova.
“Today, our country is partially and temporarily occupied. Occupation is one of the major challenges. We, unfortunately, are not a member of either the European Union or NATO. Of course, we do not have a security umbrella and guarantees. Therefore, for us, it is of utmost importance that our government take the correct steps in such an unpredictable environment to protect and rescue our country primarily.
We should care about the security of our population, our people. Our policy is peaceful. We maintained peace, reinforced it with peaceful policy and lead our country to unification,” he said.
Moldova hosts the 2nd European Political Community Summit (EPC) at Mimi Castle, a winery southeast of the Moldovan capital, Chisinau. Heads of state and government, except for Russia and Belarus, participate in the EPC, among them Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
