PM: Georgian police operate with highest professionalism and occupy worthy place among world's finest law enforcement agencies today
“Today we can say with confidence that the Georgian police operate with the highest professionalism and occupy a worthy place among the world’s finest law enforcement agencies,” Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated at a ceremony held in honour of Police Day.
As the Head of Government noted, the past year had seen decisive steps taken to strengthen the institutional capacity of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and to advance the fight against crime.
“This applies in particular to combating organised and corruption-related crime, as well as illegal migration. Today, we can say with confidence that the Georgian police operate with the highest professionalism and occupy a worthy place among the world’s finest law enforcement agencies. The clearest proof of this is the police’s strong reputation and the exceptional trust that the Georgian people place in them. I extend my gratitude to your families, who are your greatest support along this most demanding of paths, and who share with you the weight of this immense responsibility,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
