PM: GD slogan for October elections is 'Towards Europe Only with Peace, Dignity, Prosperity'

Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze stated on Tuesday that the Georgian Dream party will now have a modern office, indicating that “the party will not lose elections for the next 12 years.”

“Our slogan for the October 26 parliamentary elections is: towards Europe only with peace, dignity, and prosperity,” Kobakhidze noted. “Dignity brings peace, peace brings prosperity, and prosperity brings the country’s European future. ”

During his speech at the opening of the pre-election campaign, Kobakhidze went on to say “The 2012 parliamentary elections marked Georgia’s democratic transition.”

“The country was released from foreign agents’ totalitarian tyranny, which had cost many people their lives, health, and well-being.

Over the course of 12 years, the Georgian Dream ruling brought Georgia, along with the democratic one, an economic transition: the country’s economy grew from 28 billion to 80 billion.

The last four years have been particularly challenging. In 2021, the country experienced the first attempt of the revolution. With the start of the conflict in Ukraine, tremendous strain on the country began, prompting a second attempt at revolution in June 2022. Georgia was wrongfully denied the EU candidate status as a result of the Global War Party’s efforts, forcing the nation to live in an artificially produced “polarisation mode.”

Last year and this year, the swindle of the century was committed twice against the Transparency Law, when one of the most essential European concepts – public accountability – was proclaimed an anti-European event.

Despite all this, unprecedented pressure, two revolution attempts, and artificially created upheavals, the GD government maintained peace, ensured unprecedented rapid economic growth, and received the EU candidate status,” stated Kobakhidze.

The ruling party presented its new office and officially started the pre-election campaign.
