PM Garibashvili: Poland is Georgia's outstanding friend and partner
“Poland is Georgia’s outstanding friend and partner, with having strategic cooperation and close relations in many areas,” stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili after hosting his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki, in Batumi.
Georgian PM stressed that the countries successfully cooperate in both bilateral and multilateral formats, and “we are interested, and motivated to further expand our multidimensional relations.”
During a joint press point, Garibashvili said Georgia appreciates Poland’s strong support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its Euro – Atlantic aspirations.
The head of the government also said he had informed his Polish colleague on Georgia’s “active political and humanitarian assistance” to Ukraine, pledging to continue doing so.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked Mateusz Morawiecki for helping Georgia to evacuate its citizens from Ukraine, as well as, assisting it in transporting Georgia’s humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
“We will stand in solidarity with Ukraine and continue to firmly back it. Our common wish is to end this war and establish peace in Ukraine,” PM Garibashvili underscored.
