“We must be determined and motivated to do more projects together. That is in our capacity,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at the meeting with Azerbaijani National Assembly Chairwoman Sahiba Gafarova.

Georgian PM emphasized that Georgia is a friend of Azerbaijan and would continue so.

“That’s a great honour to be here, to meet with you. It’s a very close country to us, and you’re a perfect nation that we’re not only neighbours, but we are friends. We have an excellent relationship between the two nations. I have an excellent relationship with president Aliyev, Interior and Defence Ministers.

Now in this capacity of Prime Minister, I had an excellent meeting with the President earlier. We had very fruitful discussions about strategic relationships and strategic projects. We must be determined and motivated to do more projects together. That is in our capacity.

We support peace in this region which needs peaceful resolutions, peaceful negotiations. Georgia is your friend to do so. I want to thank you again for receiving us. I want to take this opportunity and invite you to Georgia,” Irakli Garibashvili stated.
