PM: Gakharia’s party still part of radical opposition

“Giorgi Gakharia’s party remains part of the radical opposition, despite having entered parliament after initially refusing to accept the election results,” the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.

“They spent a year refusing to recognise the elections and ultimately had to acknowledge both the results and the parliament and take up their mandates, but this does not change their overall political stance,” Kobakhidze added.

According to the PM, they are an integral part of the radical opposition, making cooperation difficult.

“It will be hard for them to step away from the radical agenda, as they have a foreign patron who instructs them to do only one thing — to maintain the centers of radicalism in our country,” Kobakhidze said.
