PM: Former Ambassador made very negative contribution to Georgian-German relations

“We are grateful for the support we have received from Germany since the 1990s, and therefore we are particularly interested in resetting these relations,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Singapore.

According to the Prime Minister, Germany has traditionally been one of Georgia’s most important partners and has made a significant contribution to the country’s development.

“The former ambassador made a very negative contribution to Georgian-German relations. Germany has traditionally been one of Georgia’s most important partners since the 1990s. Germany’s ambassador to Georgia has changed, and our ambassador in Germany has presented his credentials to the German president. We hope these steps will contribute to resetting our relations, which is of great importance to us.
