Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has expressed his condolences over the passing of Pope Francis, who died at the age of 88.
In a message shared on the social network X, Kobakhidze extended his sympathies to the global Catholic community on behalf of the Georgian people.
“Deeply saddened by the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. His legacy of peace, compassion, and unity will live on. On behalf of the people of Georgia, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Catholic community around the world,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Pope Francis, known for his efforts to promote peace and interfaith dialogue, led the Catholic Church since 2013.
