PM expects GD to perform well in 2024 elections

“If the elections were held today, the Georgian Dream would have won at least 60% of votes. We are preparing for the best result that our country and people need,” Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told reporters in Davos, Switzerland.

According to the PM, peace, stability, and rapid economic growth will continue.

Speaking about preparations for the elections and assessing the opposition’s plans, Irakli Garibashvili said:

“As for our failed opposition and their feeble attempt to offer something new to society, we know well that all this is a lie. This is a deception, and the Georgian people know everybody’s past. They see that there is no third force in the country. There is only our political force and the force against people, which is the United National Movement or New National Movement, such as the union of Mamuka Khazaradze (Lelo leader) or other small losers, who try to form coalitions to overcome the 5% election threshold.

I am not interested in the opposition efforts, especially in such a situation. The main thing for me is to have peace, stability, and development in the country.”
