PM – Everybody has to understand that the day of tomorrow should be peaceful and democratic

October 31 is the most important day for future democratic development of our country. We, all together, have to show the world how, under the conditions of pandemic, we can hold exemplary, free, open, democratic and transparent elections – Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said after the sitting of Coordination Council.

PM called on citizens for participation in the elections and underlined that the elections would determine the country’s democratic development for the next years. He said that epidemiologically high standards would be ensured at the elections.

“We all together have to make free choice, the choice which will determine the country’s democratic development for the next years. The pandemic will pass, we will defeat the pandemic, we will also overcome the economic crisis, but the elections that will take place tomorrow will determine the further successful development of our country over the years. Therefore, I call on every citizen to make our choice,” Giorgi Gakharia said. “Everybody has to understand that the day of tomorrow should be peaceful and democratic,” PM added.

The 2020 parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia on October 31, 2020.
