PM: Entire state apparatus was mobilised to conduct search operations in Shovi; some matters must never be subjected to speculation
“There was a complete cascade of lies that was spread, utter nonsense spoken at the time by our political opponents. There are simply matters on which political speculation must never be propagated. Yet even here our opponents took a different route, which is deeply unfortunate and profoundly regrettable,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
As the head of government noted, the entire state apparatus was mobilised to ensure search operations in Shovi, Racha, were carried out successfully.
“At the time, the entire state apparatus was mobilised to carry out search operations. The rescue service was fully engaged from the very beginning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was deployed, and various other agencies were involved; every state authority was focused on this effort. Yet simultaneously, against this backdrop, we were hearing various forms of speculation. This is simply regrettable, and it is an example from which certain people ought to learn a lesson,” the Prime Minister noted.
