PM declares Canvas Revolution to fail in Georgia

“Training for revolution was conducted for so-called creative sector representatives, and we see its results today – pseudo-elite representatives are attempting to organize certain revolutionary processes, which are, of course, doomed to failure,” the Prime Minister told journalists.

Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the Canvas Revolution will not succeed in Georgia, and the government will support everyone’s professional activities, regardless of their political views.

“In Georgia, we’ve witnessed four revolution attempts over three years. They tried with parties, NGOs, and journalists – specifically, so-called media managers and opposition media representatives – using every method, yet all attempts failed.

What we see now is a type of ‘Canvas Revolution’ attempt. Training for revolution was conducted for creative sector representatives, and we see its results. Pseudo-elite representatives are trying to organize revolutionary processes. But this is naturally doomed to failure, like all previous attempts. Any such act is predetermined to fail.

The ‘Canvas Revolution’ will not happen in Georgia. I urge everyone to focus on their profession. The Georgian government will help everyone pursue their professional activities, regardless of political views,” the Prime Minister said.
