PM congratulates fellow Azerbaijani citizens on Novruz Bayram

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated his fellow Azerbaijani citizens in Marneuli on Novruz Bayram, a national holiday observed from March 21 for five days to celebrate the New Year and the coming of spring.

The PM arrived in Marneuli town of the Kvemo Kartli region, meeting the Elders at Marneuli Tea House and engaging in festive activities.

The PM spoke about the genuinely friendly relations between the Georgian and Azerbaijani people.

“I want to congratulate you all on this day and wish you peace, welfare, prosperity, joy, stability and all the best. I want to reconfirm my great respect and love to our fellow citizens of Azerbaijan, very hard-working and intelligent people, and I want to underscore once again that today is also symbolic as it is associated with peace, prosperity, joy, all the best that our country and people need today,” Irakli Garibashvili said.

Thea Akhvlediani, State Minister for Reconciliation and Equality, was accompanying the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Marneuli Tea House, along with Larry Barnabishvili, Department Head for Regional Coverage and Giorgi Dokhturishvili, Governor of Kvemo Kartli; Kenan Omarov, Mayor of Marneuli; Amiran Giorgadze, Chairman of the Marneuli Assembly; MP Zaur Dargali and MP Savalan Mirzoev; H.E. Faig Guliev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia and Mahir Mammedov, President of SOCAR Georgia.
