PM condemns EU restrictions on diplomatic passports but affirms Georgia’s readiness to comply

“Restrictions on diplomatic passports are currently in effect as part of the EU’s collective decision. Although we typically continue to receive visas without issue,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told the media.

Kobakhidze described restrictions on diplomatic passports as a “shameful” move. However, it is up to EU countries to make such a choice.

“I have travelled to some countries on a visa without any problems. Naturally, this decision is disappointing, but it is their sovereign right, and we are ready to respond accordingly,” he added.
