PM concerned about Kezerashvili-funded opposition's claims to come to power

“Everybody saw former defence minister Davit Kezerashvili and his gang robbed European pensioners and stole 1 billion Euros, while these hollow people are trying to cover up this huge scandal,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told journalists.

The PM said Kezerashvili actually admitted to being an oligarch and financing the Georgian opposition.

In his words, the opposition is trying to cover up the BBC-investigated swindling scam of an international scale related to the so-called call centres.

“This is the Heist of the Century committed by Kezerashvili, and his funded opposition have claims to come to power. It is concerning. You have to ask questions about it, and our people must get answers.

I believe that the European investigative services will probe this case. We actively cooperated with the German investigation during the last two years. We investigated many facts together, solved them, and in the end, this reality became apparent.” the PM stated.
