PM claims 2008 Georgia and Ukraine wars could have been prevented

“The 2008 war in Georgia and the war in Ukraine could have been easily avoided, but specific forces and the ‘Deep State’, the Global War Party, did everything to ensure the war in Ukraine occurred,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

Kobakhidze was asked about Donald Trump’s statement that “Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not an angel and should not have allowed a full-scale war with Russia”.

In response, he noted that the devastating war in Ukraine could have been prevented.

“We have long spoken about the avoidability of the war in Ukraine, but unfortunately, what happened brought devastating consequences to our friend country, Ukraine.

Any war can, of course, be avoided. The 2008 war (in Georgia) could have been freely avoided, and certainly, the war in Ukraine could have been prevented, but specific forces and the so-called Deep State, the Global War Party, did everything to ensure a war in Ukraine.

I repeat, this was a devastating war that could have been evaded in Ukraine, but many subjects did everything to ensure Russia’s military aggression was implemented,” Kobakhidze said.
