PM: Cascade of baseless allegations starts as GD rebuffs opening 2nd front in Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili Wednesday said, “all this unrest, scandal, and baseless accusations against the Georgian government only aimed at opening a second front in Georgia.”

In a lengthy press point, PM stressed that “the cascade of allegations” kicked off in Georgia after the ruling team and he had briefed Ukraine on rebuffing the opening of the second front.

Alluding to allegations, PM mentioned an “unsubstantiated move” by Ukraine to recall its Ambassador, followed by “some claims over milk, cheese, and now wheat.”

Garibashvili continued: “On top of that, Ukrainian officials admitted their goal to open the second front in Georgia and Moldova.”

Georgian top official echoed comments by Ukrainian Presidential advisor Oleksiy Arestovych, saying that the leadership of Moldova and Georgia are not people of war; Saakashvili [jailed ex-President] could have done it, but not the current leadership of Georgia.”

PM stressed that “Saakashvili made the biggest irreparable mistake when he did not avoid war [August War]. If Saakashvili were in power today, there would be war; We would face a second Mariupol here.”

Garibashvili believes “Saakashvili came to Georgia only to destabilize the country, stir the revolution, mass killings, including the opposition leaders and coup. That directly meant the start of a new war in the occupied country. Do you understand how many dirty provocations we have avoided?”
