PM Candidate: Ministry of Culture and Sports to be separate body

The candidate Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, said at the parliamentary session ahead of the confidence vote that the Ministry of Culture will be detached from the current Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

Giorgi Gakharia noted the Ministry of Culture and Sports would become a separate body from the Ministry of Education. The decision is made, he said.

“This process depends on legal procedures. I think it will not happen later than by the end of February,” Gakharia said.
