PM: Campaign against Transparency Law total farce; Canada's example proves that
“The campaign against the Transparency Law in Georgia was a total farce; Canada’s example is yet another very clear confirmation of this,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated on Thursday.
According to the head of government, Canada’s adoption of the Transparency Law “anew indicates that the criticism of the Georgian law had no basis.”
“Every nation values its sovereignty, and in Canada, the implementation of the transparency law serves to prevent foreign influences and protect the country’s sovereignty.
As a result, the Georgian campaign against the Transparency Law was a total farce. The Prime Minister stated, “It is simply shameful to criticise the law without any argument.”
